PROJECT OVERVIEW

Construction commenced on the Darwin Marine Supply Base Upgrade Project in 2012.  The $110 million marine supply base at the existing Darwin East Arm Wharf will be the northern Australia’s first dedicated marine supply base.

The new, special-purpose wharf will support the offshore industry providing three working berths and significant storage capacity.

ACM were contracted to assist Territoria Civil with the construction of the marine wharf capping beam and associated structures including;

ACM’S SCOPE OF WORK

  • 200 tonne of reinforcement placement including fender and bollard ferrule installation
  • 2000m2 of Class 2 formwork supply and construction
  • Construction of waste bunds including reinforcement, formwork and concrete placement
  • Construction of services pits
  • Installation of ship bollards, fender piles and access ladders
  • Installation of wharf macalloy tie rods, articulation joints, turnbuckles and associated protection works
